A.Design
Microbiology laboratory consists of six parts: preparation room, washing room, sterilization room, sterile room, constant temperature medium and ordinary laboratory. The common characteristic of these rooms is the texture of floor and wall is smooth and hard, the furnishing of apparatus and equipment is concise, easy to clean.
B. Basic requirements of microbiology laboratory
(1) preparation room
Preparation room for preparation of medium and sample processing. The cabinet of reagent cabinet, storage appliance or material, test bench, electric furnace, refrigerator and upper drain, power supply etc.
(2) washing room
The washing room is used for washing dishes and so on. The used vessels have been contaminated with microorganisms, and sometimes there are pathogenic microorganisms. The sterilization room is mainly used for sterilization of culture medium and sterilization of all kinds of instruments. The chamber should be equipped with high pressure steam sterilizer, oven and other sterilization equipment and facilities.
(4) sterile room
Sterile room, also known as inoculum, is a specialized laboratory for the systematic inoculation and purification of bacterial species. In the microbe, the inoculation of the fungus is a major operation, which is characterized by the purity of the species and the prevention of the contamination of the bacteria. In the air of general environment, due to the existence of many dust and bacteria, it is very easy to cause pollution, and it interferes greatly with the inoculation work.
